Is this you?
You arrive at Orlando International Airport for your family’s first Walt Disney World vacation. You’re on the Magical Express bus to your resort and you’re watching that cute video they play telling you about all there is to see and do at WDW. During the video the narrator mentions the Disney Vacation Club.
That’s one (but you’re not counting yet).
Now you’re at your resort. Let’s say it’s Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Your spouse goes to the desk to check-in while you and the kids look around. In the back of the lobby, near the doors that go out to the Volcano Pool, you see a booth with a sign for the Disney Vacation Club.
Your spouse returns, “the room is ready.” You walk through the lush landscape of the Polynesian to your longhouse and quickly locate your room. The kids are begging to go to the pool. Your spouse sacrificially offers to take them while you wait for Magical Express to deliver the luggage. You turn on the TV and walk out onto the balcony. What a view. This is why you splurged for the lagoon view. You can even see Cinderella Castle. Just off to the right, there is a row of huts sitting out over the water, “those are cool.” Just then, you hear someone say “Disney’s Vacation Club” from inside the room. It’s the TV.
That’s enough. You have to find out what this Disney Vacation Club is all about.
So you visit the booth in the lobby. You take the tour on your planned off-day from the parks. You resolve to look into DVC further when you get home. But in your heart you know: this is for us.
Now, here you are. You decide it’s time to buy your first DVC contract. You’re so excited you can hardly keep it together.
Or maybe, this is you …
You bought into DVC after that first family trip to WDW. You researched. Read every post on MouseOwners.com. Poured over the DVC Points Charts. You crunched the numbers and purchased a modest contract at Disney’s Saratoga Springs with the intention of traveling to WDW every other year. You couldn’t be happier.
The trips were magical — truly a “home away from home” experience.
But every other year just wasn’t enough. And the family got larger — not just in the size of the kids, but the number of kids.
So over the years you picked up a few more 100 point contracts to supplement the original (the year you spent Christmas at WDW was priceless).
Now, here you are. The older kids are grown and have kids of their own. You no longer need all those points. It’s time to sell off some of those 100 point contracts.
Whether the first person best describes you or the second …
Whether you are looking to buy or you are looking to sell …
Here you are.
As a buyer, you’re looking for your dream resort — that perfect listing. But you also want to get the best price for it. You’re not looking to break the bank here.
As a seller, you’re looking for someone to buy your contract. You want to get it sold before the next round of fees, so you want to close — fast.
